By the end of 2007, new buildings now under construction will be completed.
Indeed: new facilities for tenants, for basic research, for the university and for diagnostics service and research, a total of 74000 new square meters and an investment of around 140 millions €. Apart, a new hotel, a residence for students as well as a nursery for employee’s children will also be built inside the science park.

Moreover, an agreement with IBM, which will provide the San Raffaele with the Blue Gene supercomputer by 2006, has been signed.
Aimed at improving the understanding of the mechanisms behind protein folding, the supercomputer (one of the most powerful in the world) is the result of IBM's 5-year effort to build a massively parallel computer.
