Daniela Bellomo - Curriculum vitae

Daniela Bellomo is an Italian and Australian citizen.

As the Director of Science Park Raf’s Biotechnology Transfer Centre, she heads a group of professionals managing a large portfolio of intellectual property on behalf of the San Raffaele Scientific Institute and other academic institutions who are increasingly successful in creating license deals and sponsored research collaborations with the pharmaceutical and biotech industry around the world.

She holds an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Milan, a PhD in Developmental Biology from the University of London and has worked as a scientists at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research in Australia where she headed a group researching the cardiovascular gene, VEGF-B.

After completing an MBA at Queensland University of Technology in 2001 she has been working in the technology transfer field in Australia and Italy and is member of international licensing associations such as AUTM and LES.

She is an author in many scientific publications, coordinator of a University course on technology management at the private university Università-Vita Salute in Milan and speaker in many events on the subject of innovation in research.
